Barely, after few days of introducing the Huawei Nova 3e secretly, we are pleased to announce the new baby to the P family, this is the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro!

The new handset is more about the camera! Sincerely, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus arrived with amazing camera that is able to distinguish between the person and the background image. During the launching, Huawei basically gave an edge over Apple iPhone X.

Tho, the company copied the Notch display from Essential phone and iPhone X, that didn’t stop them from exhibiting the true color of competition. The notch display houses the huge 24MP selfie camera.

There are some notable differences and similarities when comparing the both phones including the specs on paper and the inter face design. Lets take a look at the new Huawei P20 and P20 Pro specs;

Update: Huawei P20 Lite and P20 Plus is on its way but right now, Evan Blass on twitter has leaked the images of the Huawei P20 showing that it runs on Android Oreo, with a dual and a rear-facing camera system, and has an iPhone X notch at the top. See his tweet image below;

The Chinese Multinational Networking and Telecommunications company, Huawei, are popularly known for the launch of the P-series, we had the P10 and P10 Plus Smartphones and was expecting the P11 and P11 Plus, then everything changed.

However, new reports has it that Huawei has turned everything around with a new rumored phones known as Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Plus -turning the table against the P11 and P11 Plus.

The Huawei P20 Plus was tipped at a recent event held in Israel, when the CEO of a Huawei device importer said the smartphones will actually be called the P20 and P20 Plus.

As to the launch, the upcoming Smartphone would be unveiled at Huawei press event in Paris on March 27, where the smartphones are expected to make their debut. Anyways, it is term as the new flagship devices.

Huawei P20 Plus Rumors

At first, the company was previously expected to launch the 3 smartphones, code-named “Emily,” “Charlotte,” and “Anne” respectively, during the upcoming Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona but according to xda-developers, they were afraid that Galaxy S9 might out-shadowed them.

The Huawei P20 smartphones to come with larger displays than their predecessors rumored to be over 5.1 and 5.5 inches and might come with the iPhone X Style Notch. The P20 Plus battery capacity is set at 4000mAh.

And also, the phone is expected to come with a triple lens 40 MP rear camera setup with 5x hybrid zoom. With a camera system which might be co-developed by Leica, with one color sensor, one monochrome sensor and another sensor expected to support depth mapping and 2x optical zoom. The cameras are also expected to be tweaked for better low-light imaging and support AI features.

And also, the P20 is rumored to arrive with a Huawei’s Always on Display APK. This means that the app will be pre-installed on the device at launch. The Mate 10 Pro was the company’s first flagship phone with an OLED screen and also feature an Always on Display feature.

The P20 and P20 Plus are expected to be powered by the latest Kirin 970 chipset to coupled with Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1. Both the P20 and the P20 Plus will feature Huawei’s latest HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC. The devices may also have a 24 MP selfie snapper on board.

The handsets are also rumored to support facial recognition that is said to be more accurate and safer than Apple’s Face ID. In design aspect, the phone is said to arrive with a titanium body, a full-screen display and an under-glass fingerprint scanner.

It’s Huawei’s first mobile AI computing platform featuring a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and will be open to developers. The firm says it will bring ‘AI experiences to life and changing the way we interact with our devices’.

And the prices are rumored to be priced at €649 ($779 USD) and €699 ($839 USD) for Huawei P20 while €699 ($839 USD) and €749 ($899 USD) for the Huawei P20 Plus.
