Samsung Mobile 10th Anniversary Smartphone is already loading up after the launch of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus and it might launch with the iPhone X FaceID feature.

We won’t be surprised that, Samsung will introduce more newer specs on the upcoming Samsung phone; which would be launched in 2019, as its 10th anniversary of Samsung’s Galaxy S flagships. The official code-name hasn’t been out yet, maybe or maybe not, S10 meant not be the real name.

But Samsung is working with an Israeli startup called Mantis Vision (an Israeli startup dealing in high-end 3D scanners for mobile devices) on 3D camera solutions for the Galaxy S10 which will be similar to the ones enabling Apple’s FaceID on the iPhone X.

Mantis Vision is collaborating with camera module firm Namuga to integrate 3D sensing functionality into the module. Namuga has previously supplied Samsung with modules for its mid-range and low-end devices like the Galaxy A and Galaxy J series.

With the help of 3D Camera, for instance on the iPhone X, the TrueDepth camera system use 30,000 infrared dots to map a 3D model of your face. That is Face ID, which unlocks the iPhone X using facial recognition and is secure enough for mobile payments, and Animojis, which create a virtual emoji mask you can control with your face.

This should have been the work of the new Intelligent scan on Galaxy S9 but it turns out that, it is not secure for payments and AR Emoji. So we will be expecting an Advanced Intelligent Scan or 3D camera tech, as it may also improve features that use augmented reality.

And also in line, the next Samsung Galaxy ‘S’ smartphone might arrive with notch design display at the top to house all of this. The answer isn’t far from the truth as the next Android OS is already getting support for notches.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics, a camera module firm and a main supplier for Samsung Electronics, has previously said that it would make the 3-D sensing technology ready for commercialization in the first half of this year.

“The company is closely working with 3-D sensing solution developers for new growth opportunities,” the electronic parts maker said in January.

Namuga has been Samsung’s partner for many years now. And this is not the first collaboration between Mantis Vision and Samsung Mobile, they also had a business in 2014.
